Nanuet is a Metro-North/New Jersey Transit rail station on the Pascack Valley Line. The station is in Nanuet, New York and is officially located at 1 Prospect Street, one long block west of Middletown Road. In reality, it is located on Orchard Street West, diagonally off the southwest corner of Prospect Street and Middletown Road. This line runs north-south to Hoboken Terminal with connections via the Secaucus Junction transfer station to New Jersey Transit one-stop service to New York Penn Station and to other NJ Transit rail service. Connections are available at the Hoboken Terminal to other New Jersey Transit rail lines, the PATH train at the Hoboken PATH station, New York Waterways ferry service to the World Financial Center and other destinations and Hudson-Bergen Light Rail service. ==History== In its heyday with the Erie Railroad, Nanuet served as a junction between the main line of the New Jersey and New York Railroad, as well as the New City Branch and the Piedmont Branch.〔(Erie Railroad System Map: New York Division )〕
